John,
Georgia’s Chattahoochee River is a stone’s throw from the city of Atlanta. But for many people in the Metro Atlanta region, it might as well be a million miles away. That’s why we’re working with our partners on the proposed Chattahoochee RiverLands Project, a long term vision to transform 125 miles of continuous trails and parks along the Chattahoochee.
Our goal at The Trust for Public Land is to protect 1,000 miles of rivers and build 1,000 miles of trails all across America in the next five years. Thanks to the support and commitment of our members, we’ve built an impressive track record of creating blueways, greenways, parks, and recreation destinations across the country, from the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon to the Delaware River basin stretching from New York to Pennsylvania. But we’re just getting started.
Will you sign on too, by taking this opportunity to make a generous gift of $35 or whatever you can afford today?
Studies show that clean water and access to nature are essential to the physical, social, environmental, and economic health of a community. That’s why the Chattahoochee RiverLands Project and projects like it are part of The Trust for Public Land’s goal to protect 1,000 miles of rivers and build 1,000 miles of trails across America.
Your support will help connect the Chattahoochee River to everyone in the region while advancing our goals to protect rivers, build trails, create community parks, and protect land — ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come.
But without support from friends like you today, our dream might never become reality. I hope I can count on you to make a gift to The Trust for Public Land today.
Sincerely,
Kim Elliot
Director of Annual Giving
P.S. Imagine the change we can create when we protect 1,000 miles of rivers and build 1,000 miles of trails. But the first step begins with you. Please take that step now.
