Hey John,

I’m writing to you from Michigan, where my friend and Sunrise co-founder, Will Lawrence, is running for Congress to flip MI-07 blue. What I’m seeing here is unbelievable. There’s a realignment of American politics happening, and we have the opportunity to win big.

Will has been up in the polls, but AIPAC just dumped a massive ad buy against him. Will you help us fight back?

This weekend, I went canvassing in a trailer park on the outskirts of a town called Mason, a few hundred feet from where a new data center is supposed to be built. I talked to voters from all backgrounds — Republicans, Independents, people who never voted at all. And I kept hearing the same thing: “If he’s against the data center, I’ll vote for him.” 

The other day, I talked to a Republican man who had voted for Trump three times but was sick of what he was doing. He’s voting for Will.

Voters are sick of corporate-backed candidates. Regardless of political affiliation, everyone is asking the same question: “Are you on the side of money? Or people?”

This much is now obvious: in 2026, anti-corporate candidates are more electable than establishment-backed Democrats — not less.  Corporate Dems have spent decades trying to convince us that we can’t win if we ask for too much, but that’s not what I’m seeing on the doors.

And polling proves it. Will wins Independent voters over his Republican opponent by 19 points — almost double what the corporate Democrats would get. People are tired of the status quo, and we’re ready to vote like it.

But here’s the problem: Will’s opposition is scared, so they just dropped millions in attack ads and smear campaigns. They’re calling Sunrise a “dark money group.” They’re accusing Will of “investing in Wall Street” because of $11k he has in a 401(k). It’s desperate, but because they’re flooding the airwaves, it might just work.

We need your help now to fight back against this smear campaign. They have MAGA billionaires on their side, but we have people power — and we need as many people as possible to dig deep this week and give what we can. 

Michigan wants leaders who will stand up to the war lobby, the AI lobby, and the fossil fuel lobby. When voters know the truth about Will, they want him in office.

Will Lawrence can win, but only if we fight back against the misinformation being dropped against him. Will you help us defeat corporate candidates?
