VoteVets

John, the subject line says it all.

At some point we left 2026 and fell into 1984. Republicans want to force a vote on the “Take Care of America’s Veterans Act” tomorrow. Yes, a bill about taking care of Veterans would, in fact, cut benefits for 1.5 million of them.

That bill would extend benefits to some of us, but eliminate them for others. The President of the United States has made $2.2 billion dollars since he took office. He gave millionaires and billionaires a trillion dollar tax break, and paid for it with a trillion dollar cut to Medicaid and food stamps. And now, they want to pit Veterans against fellow Veterans for the benefits we earned wearing the uniform.

Republicans talk a huge game, but when it comes down to it, these people don’t care about us. We’re working overtime to rally support against this disaster of a bill, and there’s a chance we can kill it. But even if we do, we can’t let this kind of thing slide.

The GOP has a 2 seat majority in the House, and a 3 seat majority in the Senate. A handful of races will determine who holds Congress. And in every single one of them, it’s Veterans and their families who will decide the winner.

This is exactly the kind of message that hits home, and it’s something ONLY VoteVets and our messengers can deliver. We can take Congress back if we take the fight to the right over issues like this. But we can only do that with a ton of support.

If you give us the resources, we will crush the GOP this November. Make a donation to VoteVets so we can take down every vulnerable Republican. They add up fast when tons of people are chipping in.
