The Republican Party of New Mexico is running a record 101 candidates for the New Mexico State House and State Senate. These candidates represent the diversity of our great state and highlight their commitment to improve New Mexico for all New Mexicans. They are all working hard to turn New Mexico red this November.

MELISSA FRYZEL FOR SENATE DISTRICT 8

I am Melissa Fryzel. My full Baptismal name is Melissa Kay Mary Magdalene. I am your conservative candidate, for New Mexico Senator. After a 20-year career as a data and business analyst, I thought I was finally going to be able to be home with my children and just be a mama. However, the last few years have had me so distraught due to our lack of representation, that I had to act. It was one of those calm, repetitive thoughts that would not go away. So, I said, “Yes.” I am a survivor of child sexual abuse, parental addiction, rape, and domestic violence. My passion is to be a voice for those who are yet to find their way out of the oppression, judgment, and guilt that comes with sexual victimization and to help lead them to becoming survivors themselves. ​My political career started in grassroots and activism, as a founding member of the New Mexico Patriots. After a significant amount of volunteerism, I was elected as the State Secretary for the Republican Party of New Mexico. I am running

CANDACE GOULD FOR SENATE DISTRICT 10

Candace Gould has been a New Mexico resident for 46 years. She was raised by a military family who instilled the values of hard work, ethics and service to the community. Candace has worked in small business in New Mexico for 41 years. She owned her own business for 15 of those years. In 2006 she became a founding board member of the Heart Gallery of New Mexico Foundation and currently serves as its Executive Director, building the programs that create opportunities for foster children to succeed on their own and live in safe, loving families. In Santa Fe, she will fight against taxes that harm families and businesses. Candace is guided by conservative values and principles. She believes in smaller government and personal responsibility. CHELSEA FLANDERS FOR SENATE DISTRICT 16

I am a native New Mexican married to a member of the New Mexico Air National Guard, raising our three beautiful children in the Land of Enchantment. I graduated from Cibola High School, attended a trade school to become a licensed cosmetologist, and then become a small business owner in our community for 8 years. I am now running for Senate because I know and love our community, and I’m committed to make New Mexico a better place for our next generation. CRYSTAL DIAMOND FOR SENATE DISTRICT 35

I’m running to be your next State Senator from New Mexico District 35 because I have become increasingly concerned by the radical policies being pushed by progressive outsiders in our district. These radical policies will destroy working families, our community’s way of life, and are not in line with the values of District 35. This race isn’t about left vs right ⁠— it’s about right vs wrong. Sadly, the special interest groups who are backing my opponent have battled farmers and ranchers for years, want to tear up the 2nd Amendment, and care more about urban issues than they do the issues affecting our community.
