On Sunday, August 23, police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin shot Jacob Blake in the back seven times while trying to check on his three children sitting in their car. He had been attempting to help others by breaking up a public fight. Jacob Blake is now fighting for his life in the hospital and might be permanently paralyzed.

While the three officers involved have been put on administrative leave and the U.S. Department of Justice has opened an investigation, that is not enough for justice. *The officers must be charged for shooting and grievously injuring an unarmed civilian.*

That’s why I’m asking you to *contact the Kenosha D.A. Michael Graveley* and demand justice for Jacob Blake and his family:

This is another case of a Black man senselessly shot while the officers involved get barely a slap on the wrist. The people are fed up. We must make sure that victims of police brutality like Jacob Blake — and countless others — get the justice they deserve.

Flood the Kenosha D.A.’s phone lines and inboxes to demand justice — let them know that you are watching and they need to do something. *If we believe Black Lives Matter, if we want equity and racial justice, if we want our country to live up to its promises, we must fight for that every day.*
