After an entire week of Republican theatrics designed to feed Donald Trump's ego, the Trump campaign threw yet another reelection rally, this time in New Hampshire. Trump just stepped offstage, so before he leaves tonight's rally, I'm asking you to rush a $7 contribution to the One-Term President Fund.
As if this week's Republican convention weren't enough of a disgrace, Trump just spent the past hour spewing the same hateful lies and rhetoric we've been hearing since he announced his first campaign. Instead of providing concrete solutions to address the skyrocketing COVID-19 death toll and failing economy, Trump fanned the flames of division and pitted Americans against one another.
The truth is, the Trump campaign knows he's slipping while Joe Biden and Kamala Harris make massive strides in the polls -- and they're afraid. Our historic Biden-Harris ticket and Democrats down the ballot are in a strong position coming off of last week's convention, but victory won't be possible unless Democratic campaigns have the resources and tools they need to compete. That's why I'm asking for your urgent support before Trump returns to Washington:
Will you chip in $7 to the One-Term President Fund right now to help our party rapidly scale up our operations to defeat Trump and Republicans? We’ve prepared for this election for three years together, but we still need a massive amount of resources to execute the strategies during these final two months needed to win.
Every single day since I came on board as chair of the DNC in early 2017, we’ve worked nonstop with this November as our ultimate focus. Along the way, we flipped the House and made significant gains in state legislatures and governorships, and that was only possible because of supporters like you.
Now, Trump is feeling the heat of our years of hard work, and he’s clinging to the hateful, inflammatory rhetoric that he's been spewing since he first announced his candidacy.
We’re in a strong position heading into the final stretch of this election, John, but it’s absolutely critical that we follow through on the plans that will help us win. Before Trump and his team leave New Hampshire, I need to know you're on board:
