Last week, the White House fired all three commissioners of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission — the bipartisan federal agency that helps all 50 states certify voting equipment and run elections. Not one of them. All of them.

I serve on the EAC's Board of Advisors. I've seen this agency's work up close and the importance that it has in election security, and this move is an attempt to impact the voting process.

This is just another way the Trump administration is trying to erode our trust in elections. I’m fighting back against this every single day, but I need your help.

Trump firing the election commissioners won't change how Minnesota runs its elections tomorrow. Our system is strong, our local officials are excellent, and we are prepared.

But this is a canary in the coal mine, and we need to stay vigilant.

Look at the pattern.

- This administration dissolved the elections team at the Department of Homeland Security.
- It tried to force unconstitutional executive orders on states that run their own elections.
- It pushed a total overhaul of voter registration law with no time and no funding to implement it.
- It threatened election officials who have been accused of nothing.
- And now it has removed the leadership of the federal agency built to support election administration — including a Republican appointee.

That is not a series of coincidences. That is a pattern.
