Dear John,

Working at Plastic Pollution Coalition (PPC) has really changed how I think about plastic. I've worked for environmental causes for most of my career, but until I joined PPC, I didn’t realize just how pervasive plastic is—or how much it affects our health. That’s why I’m asking you to [support our work with a gift this Plastic-Free July]([link removed]).

In addition to the obvious stuff, like water bottles, food carryout containers, and seemingly anything made for kids, there's also the less "visible" plastic everywhere; in clothing, rugs, or the hidden liner of a drink can.

I never spent much time thinking about the impacts of all this plastic on human health. Plastic breaks up and gets into everything, shedding microplastics and leaching chemicals as it does, and it never truly goes away.

But while this is a serious problem, it’s also solvable. Not immediately and not easily, but lots of solutions do currently exist.

[DONATE NOW]([link removed])

As the father of two young children, I've been replacing plastic items in our home so that my kids aren't constantly absorbing and ingesting it. It's genuinely gratifying to work on something that absolutely needs to be addressed, and that also can be.

Will you [donate this Plastic-Free July]([link removed]) and help us work toward a plastic-free world for generations to come?

With Gratitude,

[Alex Patton]
