Folks,

In their speeches this week, Republicans have painted a dark portrait of America and our people -- one that ignores the humanity in each person, and instead puts anger and fear first.

But we know their depiction isn't accurate. Because Americans are resilient. Californians are resilient. Despite everything this year has thrown at us, we are still willing to lend a hand to lift each other up.

This convention has served as a stark reminder that our democracy is at stake in this election. We must do everything in our power to defeat Donald Trump and elect Democrats up and down the ballot on November 3rd.

But that alone won't be enough. We have a vision for our country that we must continue to work toward beyond Election Day. Our vision requires determination and political will to rout out systemic racism in our institutions, to curb climate change and create a sustainable environment for future generations, and to make California and our country a place for all.

I'll need you by my side to get it done, folks. If you can, will you pitch in any amount today so we can create a better future for California and America?
