Hi John,

Mary Gay just finished a busy in-district work week here in PA-05, meeting with everyone from community leaders to regular voters to listen to their concerns and find out how she can better serve our district in Washington. In between meetings with federal, state, and local officials to address substantive issues like the annual spike in gun violence linked to rising temperatures, and spearheading efforts to ensure an accurate census count for PA-05, Mary Gay also found time to distribute hoagies to veterans on Wawa’s Hoagie Day, visit Fort Mifflin for its Independence Day celebration, and take part in July 4 festivities and parades across the district.

Of course, the recent fire and proposed closure of the PES Refinery in South Philadelphia is a top priority, as we work to chart a course that protects the thousands of workers at the refinery while recognizing the unique challenges of that 150-year-old facility. Mary Gay met with PES management, union officials, and local elected officials and hosted a listening session for community members to make sure that all stakeholders had an opportunity to voice their concerns.

But to ensure that everyone in Pennsylvania’s 5th has the opportunity to share their thoughts with Mary Gay and our team, we’ve put together an issues survey that you can take here: https://s.surveyplanet.com/TlfOJImqj

It will only take a few minutes to complete, so please make sure to submit your input today! Your feedback will help Mary Gay better advocate for the needs of our district, so we really appreciate your participation.

Thank you,
Team Scanlon
