The Orwellian lies and revisionist history continued through the final night of the Republican National Convention, with Trump giving his closing speech to a crowd of his supporters AT THE WHITE HOUSE, marking a low point in our nation’s political history.
He viciously smeared Democrats and progressives and leaned into ‘promises’ that truly reflect the POLAR OPPOSITE of his administration’s agenda … pledging to protect the very things that he has, since Day 1, been out to destroy…
We can’t let the lies and smears of Trump and his GOP lackies win the day.
Today is the final day of our incredibly rare 400%-MATCH campaign to rally a progressive response to Trump’s convention.
This was Trump, last night, in his own words, pledging to stand up for the very things that we KNOW he stands against:
“We will ensure equal justice for citizens of every race, religion, color and creed” … “We will uphold your religious liberty”… “We will protect Medicare and Social Security” …
And, perhaps the biggest whopper of all: “We will always, and very strongly, protect patients with pre-existing conditions, and that is a pledge from the entire Republican Party.”
Remember, this is a president who ran on destroying the Affordable Care Act and a party that has tried (and, thankfully, failed) to do away with protections for people with pre-existing conditions literally DOZENS of times legislatively.
This is a president and party that have sued repeatedly and are CURRENTLY suing to end those protections in court.
And this is a president and party that have rammed through the confirmation of a record number of extreme anti-health care judges to the federal bench.

The dishonest attacks from Trump against Biden and progressives echoed those of other speakers throughout the convention – attacks that Trump himself has made in the past:
The Democratic Party “supports the extreme late-term abortion of defenseless babies right up to the moment of BIRTH.”
“If the left gains power, they will demolish the suburbs, confiscate your guns, and appoint justices who will wipe away your Second Amendment and other Constitutional freedoms.”
Biden will defund police and bring violence to America’s cities … “No one will be safe in Biden's America.”

“If the Democrat [sic] Party wants to stand with anarchists, agitators, rioters, looters, and flag-burners, that is up to them…”
And, while Trump continues to cast himself as a populist champion of “the forgotten men and women” of America, we know that when he speaks the words, “Always Remember: they are coming after ME, because I am fighting for YOU,” the violent conspiracy theorists and white nationalists who have rallied around this president hear him and know that he is also talking to them…
Too much is on the line this election.
