Sports have always been a formative part of my life.

Growing up, I swam competitively (along with my seven siblings) and continued to throughout college. Later on, I served as the Founding Director of After-School All Stars, an organization that provides athletic and academic outlets for children in inner-city communities.

Running a campaign requires a lot of the same work that sports do: camaraderie to build a winning team, humility to listen and learn from others, appreciation for the process, and motivation to sprint toward the finish line or until the clock runs out.

Right now, we are just ten weeks away from Election Day. Every second in the race to stand up for quality, affordable health care, stronger public education, and a cleaner environment counts.

We are up against a tough fight this November, but I know that this team is dedicated to making Nevada a stronger state. So I’m personally asking you to chip in $35, $15 or anything you can to help us reach our August fundraising goal and make investments in organizing, advertising, and mobilizing before it’s too late. Can I count on you?
