John,
All across the country, bold candidates in Democratic primaries are showing how to win without corporate PAC money – by standing up and fighting for working families.
I was proud to do that in New York's 10th Congressional District. Together, our grassroots movement, made up of tens of thousands of people like you, sent a resounding message that reached far past our district — a message that says working people want leaders who will fight for them, not corporations, and champion policies centered around humanity and dignity for all.
Now, I’m proud to have just endorsed another progressive champion: Abdul El-Sayed for the U.S. Senate in Michigan.
I’m reaching out to you today because Abdul is facing a similar fight in Michigan, but on an even greater scale, and he needs our help. Before I say more, can you split a donation between Abdul’s campaign and mine? [[link removed]]
I first met Abdul through our dear mutual friend Ady Barkan, who died of ALS while crusading for Medicare for All. I know there’s no one who will work harder than Abdul to finish Ady’s fight to win universal health care for every single American.
But to get there, John, he’s going to have to fight his way through a barrage of special interests trying to stop him. AIPAC’s Super PACs have already poured $40 million into Michigan to try to attack Abdul and prop up his opponent. And after this barrage of ads, a poll was released showing Abdul’s opponent leading by a single point.
Look, the only way Abdul will overcome this spending, retake the lead, and win the Democratic nomination for the people is if we all band together and support him.
Unfortunately, values don't win elections by themselves. Abdul urgently needs grassroots resources to compete and win on August 4th — and he needs them now, before that $40 million finishes doing its work.
Can you split a donation today to help Abdul do what we just did in NY-10 — out-organize the ultra-rich with people power? [[link removed]]

Thank you, John.
Let's win this one too,
Brad Lander
Brad is an organizer who brings neighbors together to win big fights, and a problem-solver who gets things done.
He’s been fighting for his neighbors for decades – as a dad, a housing organizer, our City Councilmember, and our Comptroller. He’s a proven legislator whose laws deliver for working people. In Congress, he’ll fight for all of us.
Brad is running for Congress because at this urgent moment, we need leaders who will fight, not fold.
Fight against an authoritarian federal government that is abducting our neighbors.
Fight for a New York that is affordable and welcoming for everyone.
Fight for an economy that isn’t stacked against us.
Fight to make government actually deliver on the promise of the American dream.
