Dismantling Black political power in the South. Manipulating maps to lock in a partisan advantage ahead of the midterms. Decimating landmark legislation that challenges racial gerrymandering.

This is the outcome anti-democracy extremists have been working toward.

And it’s appalling to witness leaders revel in Americans having less of a say in their government.

Here’s the thing: They think they have us cornered. That we’ll back down. But they shouldn’t break out the champagne just yet.

They’re not considering who they’re up against — tireless advocates like 78-year-old Bernice Brown in South Carolina. The retired public school teacher drove other Black voters to the polls for June’s primary elections. In an interview with the Washington Post she said “No matter what obstacles are in our way, we’re gonna just walk over those obstacles, and we’re voting. A voteless people is a hopeless people. And we’re not hopeless.”

Bernice isn’t alone. Redistricting Action is educating and mobilizing thousands of grassroots advocates like her. We are working to support advocates across the country who are doing everything in their power to ensure that the will of the people prevails at the ballot box.

And that's why we’re asking you to make a donation today. No matter the obstacles in our way, we’re fighting back, and we need all hands on deck to fund this democracy-saving work in the critical months ahead. Can we count on you? [[link removed]]
