Music influencers are getting paid to promote songs — and they’re not telling you

There’s definitely more of this going around, and not just in the music industry. Pretty much anything that needs promotion is getting that treatment. I also think we’ll only be seeing more of that.

I find that very surprising. I would think you’d want the experienced people around because they’d be better able to double check things and entry-level jobs would disappear. It seems reasonable to think those cuts are being made because of costs more than anything else
