I couldn't stay silent when FIFA decided to turn an official World Cup match
into an "LGBT Pride Match." It infuriated me.
Dear John,
I couldn't stay silent when FIFA decided to turn an official World Cup match
into an "LGBT Pride Match."
It infuriated me.
Because football should inspire the next generation to fall in love with
football, not teach them that even the beautiful game has become another stage
for political and ideological campaigns.
Now this wasn't just any stage.
This was the 2026 FIFA World Cup - the biggest sporting event on the planet!
Billions of people watching. Thousands of fans pouring in from every corner of
the world.
Sportâs greatest stage.
And that's exactly where we knew we had to be.
Our mission was simple: challenge FIFA's "Pride Match" before the eyes of the
world. From the streets outside the stadium to the stands inside it, we made
sure there was a visible voice saying: football belongs to the people, not to
ideology.
We caught the entire high-stakes, breathless operation on film. You have to
see it to believe it!
The raw tension, the hostile crowds, the heavy security closing in, and the
unbelievable moment our banners completely shocked the stadium, itâs all there.
Words simply cannot do justice to the sheer intensity of that day, to ensure
your voice could not be silenced.
Check it out!

From the moment we arrived in Seattle, you could feel the intensity in the
air. Streets packed with supporters. Flags everywhere. Chants echoing through
the city.
Police, security, television crews, journalists... everyone counting down to
kick-off.
But while the world was getting ready for a football match, we were getting
ready for something very different.
We came to challenge FIFA's decision to use the World Cup as a platform for
LGBT ideology. And trust me, that wasnât an easy ask.
Before sunrise, our campaign vans were already circling the stadium, carrying
your message around the very place where FIFA wanted to celebrate their so
called "Pride Match."
Thousands of fans saw them. Television cameras saw them. Journalists saw them.
And the reactions started immediately.

The atmosphere outside was incredibly hostile.
We were shouted at.
Mocked.
Insulted.
Activists followed us, surrounded us, and repeatedly tried to intimidate us
into leaving.
At one point, my friend Ignacio was literally chased by a furious activist
determined to snatch his banner from his hands.
That wasn't an isolated incident.
It happened again.
And again.
Story after story.
But none of us backed down.
Together, we made enough noise that the world's media couldn't ignore it.
The New York Times, The Washington Post, Reuters, Television crews.
Photographers. Journalists everywhere.
They came to cover what was happening around the stadium, and our campaign
became the story's spotlight.
But we weren't going to stop outside.
We had a mission: take your voice right into the stadium itself.
And we did!
We entered the stadium, sneaking our banners inside, constantly changing
seats, dodging security, waiting for the right moment, making sure our message
reached football's biggest stage.
The stadium filled.
The teams walked onto the pitch.
The anthems were about to begin.
And then the moment came...
We got together...and âŚ
3...
2...
1...
NOW!
An outstanding display that shocked the stadium.
Cameras next to the pitch turned right up to us.
The message could not have been more obvious:
NO WOKE FIFA!
Enough of the woke nonsense.
And this is why we did it.
For years, FIFA has punished Christian players and fans in the name of
"neutrality."
But suddenly an official World Cup "Pride Match" was perfectly acceptable.
We simply refused to accept that double standard, with your support, where
hundreds of thousands of you signed our petition demanding that football remain
about football.
And the outcome?
This was the moment many expected to become a global celebration of the
so-called "Pride Match."
But it never happened. They backed down.
There was no Pride display at the start of the match, which was widely
anticipated.
No Pride parade inside the stadium.
Not the spectacle most had expected.
The backlash became so overwhelming in the lead up to the kick-off that even
FIFA seemed to realise this was a bridge too far.
Papers like The Telegraph heavily criticized the entire plan, noting that the
"World Cupâs ludicrous Pride Match epitomises footballâs virtue-signalling
mess," describing the event as "a miserable failure."
This is an absolutely massive victory.
Here's the amazing part:
The more attention this "Pride Match" received, the worse it looked for FIFA.
The backlash kept growing, the criticism kept coming, and by kick-off the
organizers had quietly stepped back. The big ideological celebration everyone
had expected had been dramatically scaled back.
But do you want to know what they couldn't stop?
The profound, undeniable expression of faith defining this tournament.
While the pride displays collapsed, Christian expression was vibrant
Major outlets even were forced to admit that "God makes a footballing
comeback," (Financial Times) reporting on how "Christianity has made a return
to the World Cup."
Think about the sheer scale of this triumph: they completely shied away from
the LGBT ideology, but they couldn't suppress the true Christian expression of
the players and fans.
What a monumental achievement! We beat them at their own game.
The narrative has completely changed. And the World Cup has gone back to being
what it was always meant to be about:football!
Instead of the world talking about FIFA's "Pride Match," they were talking
about the controversy surrounding it, and the thousands of people like you and
me, who refused to stay silent.
And that is exactly why grassroots campaigns matter.
This is exactly how ordinary people hold powerful institutions to account.
This is exactly how agendas are challenged before they become normal.
Today itâs the World Cup.
Tomorrow it could be schools.
Sports clubs.
Or countless other parts of society.
That's why we had to draw a line here.
When hundreds of thousands of ordinary citizens stand together...
When you refuse to stay silent...
When your message is taken directly to those making the decisions...
Even organizations as powerful as FIFA are forced to take notice.
And for that, I thank you.
Thank you for making this possible. This victory belongs to you every bit as
much as it belongs to us. I won't forget this adventure.
Sebastian, Franco, Ignacio, Frida and the entire CitizenGO team
P.S. I'll never forget standing inside that stadium.
Looking around at tens of thousands of people... cameras everywhere... knowing
that, for just a few moments, your voice had reached football's biggest stage.
That's what your support makes possible.
Because this was never just about one football match.
It was about drawing a line.
When ideology enters one of the few places that should unite us all, it never
stops there. Today it's football. Tomorrow it's our schools. Our sports clubs.
Our universities. Our public institutions. One step at a time, the pressure
grows to turn every part of society into another battleground for activism.
Unless people are willing to stand up and say: enough.
That's exactly what you did.
You helped take this fight directly to one of the biggest stages in the world.
And together, we showed that even an institution as powerful as FIFA can be
forced onto the defensive.
Because campaigns like this don't happen by chance. They happen because people
like you decide they're worth fighting for.If you want us to keep taking your
voice where it matters mostâto parliaments, the United Nations, international
summits, and the places where tomorrow's battles will be foughtâplease consider
