August 6th is the primary. We have weeks left. This race, the one everyone said couldn’t be won, against an incumbent who has held this seat for a 14 years, is real. It is competitive, and it is coming down to the wire.
Here is where we stand. We are going up against a man with a 15-year incumbent’s war chest, and have fought like hell to bring the odds over to us.
We have knocked doors across 9 counties. We have hired 24 interns who have been on the ground. We have been at diners, community events, Pride festivals, union halls, and living rooms in communities that a sitting congressman has not visited in over a decade. We have built this campaign the hard way; no corporate PAC money, no shortcuts, no favors owed to anyone except the working people of Tennessee’s 4th District.
