The requirement to use the federal “SAVE” database to purge voter rolls is particularly illegal. Just weeks ago, a federal judge ordered the Trump administration to immediately end and delete the database, citing a “major violation” of American’s privacy rights. It was also revealed in that court case that the database was wrongfully purging Democratic voters from the voter rolls.
Trump has significantly ramped up his election rigging attempts in recent weeks. FBI raids against voter rights organizations, USPS threatening to not deliver mail-in ballots in blue states, a renewed push to get the Senate to pass the most restrictive voting law in American history.
He’s desperately throwing everything he has at the wall in hopes that something will stick—and that he can get the right judge to greenlight it.
That’s why Defend Our Courts is leading a multifront counterassault against Trump’s election rigging schemes. First, we are building a firewall of state Supreme Courts with the power to protect free and fair elections, state by state. Second, we are building the movement to reclaim a United States Supreme Court that has made itself an arm of the Trump administration.
