Something is brewing in the Deep South. After the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act in April, Louisiana’s GOP governor moved swiftly to cancel an ongoing Congressional election and eliminate a majority-Black district.

MAGA thought Louisiana voters would take this lying down. But then something happened they never saw coming: A massive backlash at the polls.

Democrats turned out in historic numbers and delivered. MAGA’s 5 constitutional amendments were rejected by double digits. GOP Senator Bill Cassidy became the first incumbent Senator to lose a primary in over a decade. Democrat U.S. Senate Candidate Jamie Davis won all 64 of Louisiana’s parishes.

Now, legendary political pundit James Carville said Democrats have a “fighting chance” to flip the US Senate seat in Louisiana this year. And Kamala Harris is coming to Louisiana to rally Democrats ahead of the midterm elections:

A blue wave is building in Louisiana. There is a real shot for Democrats to flip Louisiana’s red U.S. Senate seat and ensure Democrats retake the Senate.

That’s why we’re putting our foot on the gas. Next month, we’ll be launching our No More Silence: Roll to the Polls Tour that will see us visit 14 cities across 7 regions with a goal to register 50,000 new voters, recruit No Party voters, and make sure every voter in Louisiana knows how, when, and where to cast a ballot.
