Every week brings another devastating headline, John: Trump’s EPA guts another protection. Another polluter gets a pass. Another climate safeguard disappears.
When Washington refuses to protect our communities, state leaders become our last line of defense. And some of the most important climate fights in the country are happening right now in Michigan.
That’s why JanePAC is going all-in to support four bold climate champions — Erin Byrnes (Senate District 2), Jaime Churches (House District 27), Chris Gilmer-Hill (House District 8), and Natalie Price (Senate District 10) — in their must-win primaries on August 4. Can you split a $20 grassroots donation between all four candidates today to power their campaigns to victory? [[link removed]]

Let me introduce you to them.
Erin Byrnes, Senate District 2
Erin is running in a competitive primary for an open seat, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Newly drawn Senate District 2 sits in the heart of Michigan's industrial corridor — auto plants, rail yards, freight, and the fugitive dust and asthma that come with them. She's a proven fighter against the utility giant DTE, and she's voted to block tax giveaways to power-hungry data centers.
This is a safe Democratic district, so the winner of this primary is likely the winner of the general — meaning August 4 decides who represents these frontline families for years to come.
Jaime Churches, House District 27
JanePAC endorsed Jaime in 2024, and she lost by just over 300 votes. That's a heartbreaker of a margin, and it's exactly why her comeback is one of the races I'm most determined to win. A former teacher and union leader, Jaime flipped this seat once before and delivered on water quality, railroad safety, and clean energy in the legislature.
Now she's running to win it back from a GOP incumbent who worked as a field rep for Turning Point. Yes, the same Turning Point we defeated in Arizona earlier this year, when our clean energy slate flipped the Salt River Project Board in a historic upset. We've beaten them before, and we can do it again.
Chris Gilmer-Hill, House District 8
Chris is running to represent Detroit neighborhoods living with some of the worst air pollution in the state, unreliable transit, and utility bills that keep climbing. The incumbent he's challenging has voted to hand tax breaks to power-hungry data centers and to weaken clean energy standards — all while taking utility money. Chris refuses a dime of it.
Natalie Price, Senate District 10
Natalie helped pass Michigan's law requiring 100% clean energy by 2040 — and now she's running in a competitive primary for an open seat to defend it. Her newly drawn district covers Detroit's inner-ring suburbs, and in a district this blue, this primary is the whole ballgame. She'll keep fighting the rate hikes and data-center handouts that stick working families with the bill.
John, by supporting these campaigns, you’re helping elect leaders who will stand up to corporate polluters and fight for a safer, more just future at the state level. Can these Michigan climate champions count on your support before Election Day on August 4? [[link removed]]
