I've been doing this politics thing for a long damn time, y’all.

I've seen candidates who could talk a good game but couldn't seal the deal. I've seen candidates with all the money in the world who couldn't connect with ordinary people if their life depended on it.

And every now and then, you come across somebody who's the real deal.

Now look, Georgia Republicans want this race to be about all the usual nonsense. They want to distract and scare people, and keep folks arguing while the cost of living keeps rising and families keep falling behind.

Can you build a decent life if you're working your tail off every day?

The pundits are always telling us what can't happen in the South.

They said Democrats couldn't compete in Georgia. Then Democrats won Georgia in a Presidential election.

They said Democrats couldn't elect two senators. Then Georgia elected two senators.

Now they're telling us Georgia won’t elect a Democratic Governor. Well, hell, I've heard that song before.

What matters isn't what the talking heads say. What matters is whether Keisha has the resources to get on TV, organize in every corner of the state, and fight back when the Republicans start unloading their attack ads.
