John --
It's been 105 days since my Democratic House colleagues and I passed the Heroes Act to get much-needed coronavirus relief to families who are struggling.
The Senate has had 105 days to approve our legislation and send it to Donald Trump.
Thanks to Mitch McConnell and his Republican allies, they've done nothing. Instead of doing their jobs and working to support our communities, the Senate went on break. They're out while people suffer through the greatest public health crisis in a century and the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.
John, it's never been clearer that we need leaders who care about people. That is my priority -- it's why I ran for Congress in the first place.
Now, I'm asking for your support to help me stay there and keep fighting for the legislation we need most. Can you chip in $5 or more to my re-election campaign before our deadline on Monday?

Right now, millions of families are choosing between putting food on the table and paying the rent. Frontline workers are still struggling to access the protective equipment they need. The testing and tracing efforts we need to curb this pandemic are still not being funded and coordinated on a national level.
And Mitch McConnell isn't doing anything to help them -- to help us.
But unlike Mitch -- I know what it's like for families struggling to make ends meet. I know what it's like when an earner loses a job and a family has to worry about paying the bills.
I know it, and that's why I promise that -- when I'm re-elected in November -- my priority will be to help our country combat the pandemic and rebuild in a way that works better for everyone.
We have to defend our majority in the House of Representatives, and that means we have to defend this district. If you can, please chip in $5 or more to our re-election campaign so we can get back to work for you.

The number one priority during this time is to make sure everyone helps mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Washington state and across the country. Our campaign is doing our part by canceling all in-person events, moving to a digital operation, and supporting local efforts to help those in need. Emails like this are a critical part of our ability to run a strong campaign.
