Welcome back to our most recent newsletter. We have some important updates for you, and an overview of the best parts of August.

 What’s Happened Since Last Time

- Foregen staff are currently in Brazil and will be attending the BIO Latin America Conference on September 3rd and 4th, with the aim of acquiring additional tissue sources and exploring even more potential investment from firms in Latin America.

- Foregen continues to work with Flanders Investment and Trade. Currently, we’re working jointly with the agency to search out members of the Belgian scientific community that can collaborate and accelerate our research. We have sent Flanders a potential list and they will be contacting them on our behalf.  This project is being pursued as a foundational aspect of Flemish financial support and establishing our presence in Belgium.

- We’ve recruited a new member, Dr. Elena Tartaglione Steiner, PhD, to our advisory board. Elena completed her PhD at Arizona State University, and contributes her background in intercultural, strategic, and organizational communication to Foregen objectives. She was managing partner of Global Perspectives Consulting, offering consultation and training in the areas of intercultural communication and competence across public, private, and non-profit sectors. - The collection and testing of tissue is an ongoing process and we will send out updates from our tissue supplier as we get them. As mentioned, Foregen is currently working to acquire additional sources globally for a more adequate and steady supply.

- For the month of August reached a total of $9,374 in donations, which helps us move forward with the next parts of our mission!  Be sure to inform other activists, friends and family about Foregen and the science we’re pursuing to one day help provide genital integrity to men around the world. Our overall total to date is $492,562 - Let’s keep it up <[link removed]>.

 Tell Me Something Interesting

- This recently published article <[link removed]> details the work of “Researchers at the Laboratory of Applied Photonics Devices (LAPD), in EPFL's School of Engineering, working with colleagues from Utrecht University, have come up with anoptical technique <[link removed]> that takes just a few seconds to sculpt complextissue <[link removed]> shapes in a biocompatible hydrogel containing stemcells <[link removed]>. The resulting tissue can then be vascularized by adding endothelial cells.”
