Walking and Cycling
With schools reopening next week, there is lots of advice available on how to travel safely to and from school.
Social distancing is still important, so we're encouraging parents and children to walk or cycle to school, if they can.
Our local public transport operators have lots of measures in place, and some additional services, to help students travel safely.

The walkway connecting Collin Street with Lister Gate and Albert Street, through the partially demolished Broadmarsh Centre reopened today (Friday 28 August).

Tuesday 1 September - A Nottingham Bike Aid event offering free repairs and cycle training for key workers and jobseekers will take place on the Victoria Embankment from 12-3pm. Booking is essential via [email protected]

🚍Bus services
- From Sunday 30 August, NCT will be making some service changes to reflect the return of schools at the start of September. For more information visit their website.
- Victoria Bus Station Travel Centre has reopened. The centre is open Monday to Friday, from 9am until 5pm. For more information visit our website.
Roadworks
Monday 24 August - Friday 11 September: Waterway Street West & Traffic Street East Lane closure due to hoarding works.
Tuesday 1 September - Monday 7 September: Sherwood Vale Two way signals outside no.32 and opposite Parkwood Crescent due to property upgrades.
Tuesday 1 September - Friday 11 September: Ashburnham Avenue Suspension of parking outside the substation in Radford recreation ground due to substation works.
Highways England Clifton Bridge repairs
Highways England is continuing to carry out works to repair and strengthen the A52 Clifton Bridge.
