SiX and the National Women's Law Center Invite State Elected Officials to Sign on to Letter Opposing OMB’s Proposed Federal Funding Rule
SiX and the National Women's Law Center's State Gender Policy Collective invite state elected officials to sign on to a comment letter opposing OMB’s devastating Proposed Federal Funding Rule.
The proposed rule would coerce and commandeer state policymaking, allowing political appointees to withhold or terminate federal funding based on hostile political priorities. This would create uncertainty for states, cut resources for critical programs, and harm communities that disproportionately rely on federally funded services—including women, LGBTQIA+ people, Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, immigrants, people with disabilities, and low-income people. It would also chill state policy advocacy, undermining leaders' ability to serve their constituents' needs.
