Hi friend --
First, Mitch McConnell said he felt no “urgency” to provide coronavirus relief to the American people.
Then, Mitch vowed he would block the aid passed by House Democrats to the U.S. Postal Service -- dismissing our completely valid concerns about GOP attacks on the agency and the election as “conspiracy theories.”
Now, McConnell has addressed the nation at the Republican National Convention, making his case for another six years in power. We have the chance to replace him -- his Democratic challenger, Amy McGrath, is within 5 points of Mitch in his deep-red home state of Kentucky. Kicking Mitch out of office in November would mean a new era in the Senate, one where we might actually be able to advance a progressive agenda. Do you think it’s time for McConnell to retire?
