Team --

Ten U.S. Army bases are named after traitors -- Confederate generals who fought against the United States to preserve slavery. The names these men share with our Army bases are a stain on our history.

That's why Donald Norcross has supported changing them. And in the past few months, Army leaders have finally said they were open to doing so. Even the Republican-controlled Senate Armed Services Committee has voted to adopt an amendment to change them.

Unfortunately, President Donald Trump has declared his administration would oppose any changes -- siding with Confederates who fought to keep people in chains. We need to show him that we will hold him accountable if he stands on the wrong side of history.

Continuing to allow Army bases to be named after racist Confederate generals is a stain on American History. Add your name to join Donald Norcross in demanding President Trump allow the Army to rename the bases. >> [link removed]

Today, Americans across the country are marching in the streets to commemorate the anniversary of the March on Washington and to demand an end to racial injustice. Although it's been 57 years since Dr. King delivered his "I have a dream" speech at this march for civil rights, his dream has still not been fulfilled.

It is tone-deaf and disgusting for President Trump to side with the Confederacy. To have ever named these bases after Confederate generals was a mistake. The time to rectify that mistake is now.

Tell President Trump: "It's time to rename all Army bases named after Confederate generals." Sign the petition now. >> [link removed]
