Higher Wages and Lower Taxes: Celebrating One Year of the Working Families Tax Cuts Act

One year ago, the Working Families Tax Cuts Act was signed into law, giving tens of millions of Americans–including Arizonans–more tax relief and economic breathing room to pay their bills and save for their children’s futures. Take a look below at some stand out stats:

  • More than 60 million filers claimed at least one new tax cut during the legislation's first year of implementation
  • Over one million Arizona seniors were eligible to benefit from the provision eliminating taxes on Social Security
  • Roughly two-thirds of workers across the state are employed in overtime-eligible occupations, allowing them to use the no-tax-on-overtime provision.
As I spend time in my district, I’m pleased to hear many positive stories of how the Working Families Tax Cuts Act has improved lives and created opportunities for business growth. Americans deserve to keep more of their money, and this bill has done—and will continue to do—just that in the years to come.

Jumpstarting the American Dream: Trump Accounts are Live NOW!

Taxpayers aren’t the only ones benefitting from the Working Families Tax Cuts Act. Starting now, children also have a shot at the American Dream.

The newly launched Trump Accounts give children a stronger financial start by making it easier for families and communities to invest in their future. For children born from 2025 to 2028, the federal government provides a $1,000 start-up contribution. That single contribution could grow to $243,000 by the time the child turns 55. Parents, grandparents, and families now have a simple way to invest directly in their children’s future and pass on a legacy of opportunity to the next generation.

Meetings and District Events

ImageI was pleased to meet with Casey and Meggan Murph, both Arizona ranchers, to discuss the fight to save their ranch from bureaucratic government overreach. I will do all I can to protect Arizona’s farmers and ranchers.

I appreciated the opportunity to meet with Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell and others in the law enforcement community. One of the issues we discussed was my Monitor Accountability Act, which recently passed the House with bipartisan support. This legislation will ensure the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office can focus on protecting Arizona communities, instead of being trapped under endless federal oversight. I will always back the blue!

I was privileged to attend Coffee & a Mic with Chris Clark of the Queen Creek Chamber this morning to give a federal update on housing, water, and immigration. Thank you to all the Chamber member businesses and to Queen Creek Vice-Mayor Bryan McClure for attending.
