Nottingham Arboretum 12-9pm
There will be an extra day of entertainment at the Nottingham Arboretum this week with the introduction of a new event.
Homegrown is presented by the partnership of Splendour organisers - DHP Family and BBC Introducing.
The outdoor event will bring the best musical talent from the East Midlands, with acts taking to the iconic bandstand to perform. The line-up for the day includes: Georgie Rob Green Jerub Mollie Ralph Salsa Bae

Alongside a programme of the best new music, will be a Fringe stage, bringing you a host of exciting entertainment for all the family, delicious pop-up food outlets provided by Nottingham Street Food, a selection of local ales and a container bar from Camden Town Brewery.

FRIDAY CLOSURE - Due to the stormy weather warnings, the sad decision has been made to close today (Friday) due to the exposed nature of the site.
However, the team will be back on Saturday and Sunday. bringing the feel-good festival vibes to the city! Enjoy great beer, local street food, live music and Sunset DJ sets each night..
This week, Nottingham Street Food Club is excited to announce food traders this weekend are the taste of Canada with Squeaky Beaver Poutine or, relish in a delicious Caribbean and Thai infused meal from The Chef's Cottage.

There's plenty to do and see around the hall and grounds and then bring the little ones (Ages 3-9) to Wollaton Adventure Park.
Run around on the bumper cars, bounce off the cars and onto the mini trampolines, then go crazy on the crazy golf; and, are you brave enough to take on the mini roller coaster?

Can you find them all? Put your exploration skills to the test on The Wise Owl Walk; the exciting new activity to experience in Nottingham city centre.
The Wise Owl Walk is perfect for people of all ages but may be particularly fun day out for families. The goal is to find all the Wise Owls placed around the city. There is a map and some hints to help you find them but you'll need a keen eye to discover the exact locations!
Every Wise Owl is completely unique and has been designed by a roster of talented artists. Do you have what it takes to win this gigantic game of hide and seek?

Newstead Abbey Daily 11am-5pm
Roll up, roll up for all the fun of the fair*!
Newstead Abbey is playing host to Traditional Rides until 6 September, so if you're looking for something to entertain the kiddies at the end of the holidays, it's perfect!
There are also acres of grounds to explore, with lots of little pathways and beautiful water features too oh, and don't forget to take a picnic!

Nottingham City Council and the Showmen’s Guild have announced the cancellation of the 729th Goose Fair.
The popular annual event was due to be staged at its regular home of the Forest Recreation Ground from Wednesday 30 September to Sunday 4 October.
Several options were considered, including creating a number of timed sessions to limit capacity to 25,000 people, or extending the length of the fair to ten days. However, neither of these options came close to providing capacity for the more than 400,000 visitors who would normally attend...
