John,

Today, tens of thousands of people will gather – in person and virtually – at the Lincoln Memorial to commemorate the 1963 March on Washington, when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his historic “I Have a Dream” speech.

57 years ago, Dr. King spoke about the “trials and tribulations” faced by Black Americans – mass incarceration, police brutality, systemic poverty, and countless others. Today, those trials remain the same.

As we recommit to his dream together, we must remember that Dr. King told the marchers they couldn’t walk alone.

And neither can we.
