Republicans called it the Big Beautiful Bill.
I called it the Big Ugly Bill.
Today, Americans are living with the consequences of the Big Ugly Law.
At a time when working people are struggling with the cost of groceries, housing, health care, and energy, Republicans chose to reward the wealthy, increase the deficit, and make life harder for the very people they claim to represent.
They talk about fiscal responsibility. But there's nothing fiscally responsible about exploding the deficit while asking working families to bear the burden.
There's nothing responsible about prioritizing political donors and special interests while ordinary Americans are trying to make ends meet.
The Big Ugly Law tells you everything you need to know about Republican priorities.
And it reminds us why the midterms matter.
We need to stop the damage. We need to undo the havoc this law is creating in communities across the country. And we need to bring adults back to the table who are focused on lowering costs, protecting opportunity, and making government work for working people again.
That's going to take organizing. It's going to take resources. And it's going to take winning elections.
