This is David, Chris’s husband, stopping by to give you an update as we approach the end of August. If you’ve been a supporter of Chris’s for a while now -- first of all, thank you! -- second of all, you can probably guess that we have another big end-of-month deadline coming up.

There are many things I’ve learned as a campaign spouse. One of them is that candidates (i.e., my wife) get especially stressed during the final week of every month, as that’s their last chance to hit their monthly fundraising goal.

But now we’re literally counting down the days to the election and every day and every dollar really matters.

At this point in the campaign, voter education and “get out the vote” efforts are so important -- they are our path to victory. With your support, Chris can have the resources to communicate to the great people of California’s 8th Congressional District that she will bring a lifetime of fact-based problem solving to Washington and real solutions to the citizens of her district.

Each of these efforts -- voter outreach, events, phonebanks, advertising, mailers, yard signs and barn signs -- is an important piece of the puzzle when it comes to educating voters about Chris’s vision and helping them make a plan to vote, whether in-person or by mail.
