I’m not expecting much.

Mitch McConnell is about to take the stage at the Republican National Convention.

Folks, I’m not expecting much.

He’s halfway through a 25-day vacation. Meanwhile, small businesses are waiting. Parents, teachers, and students are waiting. Postal workers are waiting. The millions of people who are out of work across the country are waiting. They’re all wondering if they’ll ever get any help from the United States Senate.

And tonight, I predict Mitch will do what he always does: blame somebody else for his failure.

The truth is, he can’t have it both ways. Leaders don’t leave. Either Mitch is an effective powerbroker in Washington, or he’s not. Either he’s fighting for Kentucky’s interests, or he’s not.

(Spoiler alert: He’s not.)

Our August fundraising deadline is all about taking the fight directly to Mitch in the last two months of this election. I’m ready to give this everything I’ve got—if you are, too, chip in right now and let’s go win this thing.

Thanks,
Amy
