Attorney General Becerra just beat the Trump administration in court, securing an early victory in his lawsuit to stop Secretary Betsy DeVos from siphoning pandemic relief funds away from public schools and handing the money to private institutions. 
 
 
Again and again we see this administration get caught with their hand in the cookie jar — doing things they know they shouldn’t. 
 
When Betsy DeVos tried to illegally siphon funds away from needy public schools, Xavier didn’t hesitate to act. And that action just delivered critical results:
 
This new court decision is a major victory for California and all public schools as we confront the unprecedented challenges of this pandemic.
