The more politicians who reject corporate health care cash, the closer we get to finally winning guaranteed health care.

National Nurses United

More and more candidates are rejecting corporate health care money and moving us toward Medicare for All — let us explain.

Since we launched our Patients Over Profits pledge — a promise to reject donations from the for-profit health care industry’s executives, PACs, and lobbyists — volunteers from across the country have worked hard to recruit candidates to add their names.

This year, that work is paying off with a massive surge of momentum. Over 550 politicians have already signed the pledge, with a huge number coming from the current primary season:

With 15 states’ primary elections coming up in August, we have a critical window to get even more candidates on board — but we can’t do it without you.

Can you sign up to reach out to candidates about the Patients Over Profits pledge ahead of the August primaries?

When you sign up, you’ll get a step-by-step guide to make the process as easy as possible. We’ll give you a list of candidates we think might be willing to sign the pledge and help you craft a message to them.

Right now, these candidates are looking for an edge to win competitive races. Signing the pledge and showing voters that they stand with the working class, not our broken health care system, gives them that edge.

The more politicians who reject corporate health care cash, the closer we get to finally winning guaranteed health care. Let’s keep that momentum going.
