The 2020 Black National Convention is rooted in Black history - which has taught us that we must keep fighting for dignity, equality and respect. Black communities have been denied the right to full humanity in this country since the beginning. In 2020, we see renewed and even more aggressive voter suppression efforts all over the country targeting voters of color, particularly Black voters and people who were formerly incarcerated.
