** Email your MP to ask for a better railway
------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Supporter
As you know, the way our railways are run is changing. Through its Railways Bill, the Government is creating Great British Railways – a new public body that will oversee both track and trains across the rail network.
This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build a railway that works better for passengers, communities and the economy. But that won't happen automatically.
We think Great British Railways should be tasked with doing more than simply managing the network as it currently exists. It should have a clear mission to:
* Help more people travel by rail
* Connect more places to the railway network
* Make rail travel more affordable.
That's why we're asking you to email your MP ([link removed]) and urge them to support a railway that works better for people and places. Using our quick online form ([link removed]) , you can help ensure Great British Railways has the ambition and responsibility to grow rail, reconnect communities and make journeys more affordable.

Rail already does amazing things. It helps people get to work, see family and friends, and travel in a way that is efficient and sustainable. And where new stations are built or old rail lines are reopened, it can transform places and create new opportunities.
But rail has the potential to do so much more.
That's why we're asking you to email your MP ([link removed]) and urge them to support a railway that connects more people and places, encourages more journeys by rail, and makes train travel affordable for everyone.
It only takes a couple of minutes to send an email using our quick online form. ([link removed])
Please email your MP ([link removed]) today.

P.S. Thank you to the thousands of you who have completed our rail reform survey to tell us your priorities for Great British Railways. We'll be closing the survey soon and using your answers to inform the next stage of our rail campaign.
