Broward Democratic Party Bylaws Amendment

Amendment to Align with the Florida Democratic Party

Proposed Amendment

Amend the following section to the Article  governing Democratic Clubs, Article 12 to read:

"The Broward Democratic Party shall administer Democratic Club charters in accordance with Article VI, Section 2 of the Charter and Bylaws of the Florida Democratic Party.

In the event of any conflict between the Broward Democratic Party Bylaws and the Charter and Bylaws of the Florida Democratic Party regarding Democratic Club charters, the Charter and Bylaws of the Florida Democratic Party shall control. "

Purpose

This amendment aligns the Broward Democratic Party Bylaws with the Florida Democratic Party's governing documents and ensures that Democratic Club chartering requirements remain consistent with statewide rules.
