I’ll be honest: Deciding to throw my hat into this Senate race last summer wasn’t easy.

I thought long and hard about it, because it wasn’t a decision that just affected me. I knew it would touch my entire family and those closest to me – and it would require some sacrifice, lots of energy, and massive amounts of funding.

But when I saw all that was happening in Washington – the chaos, the cruelty, and the politicians rigging the system even further against working people – I knew I couldn’t sit on the sidelines. 

I love Ohio. I love our people. And I won't let Jon Husted try to buy this seat and dictate our future.

While Husted is proud to be on the side of Wall Street billionaires and special interests, I’m proud to have spent my life beating back these corrupt forces. I’ve spent it on picket lines, in union halls, and in conversation with everyday folks.

I've always put Ohioans first – whether I was fighting for affordable health care or good-paying jobs, or saving Ohioans’ pensions. I will stand by my record any day, and I’m determined to return to the Senate to do even more.

But I need your help to get there. Polling shows this race within the margin of error, and the only way we can pull ahead is with your critical grassroots support. So please, will you chip in to my campaign today to flip Ohio and take back the Senate?
