Hi, friend, in a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a donation to help me become the next Governor of New Mexico. But before I do, I'd like to share a few reflections on who I am and what I am setting out to do.

I am a proud member of Laguna Pueblo, and I carry with me the strength and resilience of generations of Pueblo women who refused to let their voices — or our people — be erased. They taught me that leadership means showing up for your community and making sure everyone has a seat at the table.

Their example gave me the courage to run for office, becoming one of the first Native American women elected to Congress and the first Native American Cabinet Secretary in our nation's history. Now, I'm running to become the first Native American woman elected Governor in the United States — not just to make history, but to make a difference.

We're making progress, friend. More and more people have a voice in the decisions that shape our future, and we're not giving up our seats at the table. I'm running because I believe every New Mexican deserves to be heard, especially when Washington gets it wrong, and I'll always stand up for working families, no matter who they are or where they live.

I want to leave the ladder down for the next generation of leaders and build a government that truly reflects and fights for the people it serves. But I can't do it without you, friend.
