Our comrades at MI CORE have put out a call for solidarity with tomorrow's action. DPS and the State of Michigan are willing to trade the lives of countless children, teachers, school staff, and community members for a return to "normalcy". We've seen the disastrous effects that opening schools has had in other states and even in Michigan itself. It is not too far an exaggeration to say that the resistance of Detroit's teachers is one of the only things standing between us and the grim fate of an unchecked pandemic.

Join with teachers tomorrow at 11AM for a car caravan to keep our schools closed and our children safe. A socially distanced rally will follow so make sure to bring signs, chair, water and a mask.

Use the hashtags #BeSmartVirtualStart and #OnlineSavesLives and share the widely. This will likely be the first of multiple actions so stay tuned for updates.
