Last chance to join the mid-year member drive!
|
Jack, you’re already an incredible part of this movement. Will you grow your support by becoming a dues-paying member before our member drive ends tomorrow? |
Evelyn is our 2026 membership drive spokesperson! Just like you, she’s a vital part of the PPT community. She’s helped us fight (and win) for the hletalf-fare program and for improved language accessibility across Pittsburgh’s transit system. When she saw the opportunity to help PPT’s work to support her community, she knew she had to sign up. Dues from PPT members like you and Evelyn have helped to: |
- Bring over 100 members to Harrisburg to shed light on the $80 million dollar transit budget gap, and emphasize the importance of paratransit and shared ride services to our representatives.
- Train 13 community organizing fellows across the Hilltop neighborhood of PGH, and the Lancaster and Lehigh Valley regions of PA.
-
Share skills and build power with 170 people from across the country shared skills and built power at our 2026 Spring Training.
|
Can you join Evelyn in building this movement by becoming a dues-paying member today? |

It's official: PA is in budget overtime. Riders are fighting back.
|
This July, as State Legislators left Harrisburg without passing a budget by the required June 30th deadline, transit riders and transit workers across the state have geared up their advocacy for expanded transit funding in the state budget.
The Transit for All PA! Summer of Action is calling on legislators to pass the budget, and support new funding sources for the Commonwealth’s growing transit needs. Transit advocates scheduled press conferences in Philadelphia, phone banks across the state, and launched a new letter campaign.

Spread the word about PPT at the year's most fun car-free event! |
OpenStreetsPGH is a celebration of biking, walking, and all things car-free run by BikePGH every summer. PPT will be there spreading the word about transit justice campaigns, and you can help!
Table with PPT at at OpenStreetsPGH to learn about the ongoing equitable transit campaigns across Allegheny County and how you can join other riders to say NO to service cuts and route eliminations and YES to more accessible buses and sidewalks, Zero fares for SNAP households and so much more!
Volunteers will meet at the PPT table in the Strip District at 9:30 on July 26th. Members tabling with PPT can expect to sit and hang out at the PPT tent, greet passers by and folks who approach our table, give an introduction of PPT and engage them around their transit experiences. The environment is casual and fun. |

Allegheny County is considering a mandatory paid parental leave period! The new law would provide 18 weeks of paid parental leave to employees of every business in Allegheny County, regardless of employer size. Working families deserve better health outcomes, and shouldn't have to choose between their health and their jobs. Protecting parental leave is a critical step for public health, both for children and parents. The County is accepting comments by phone, email, or mail through June 16th. Make your comment today!
