This Friday, July 10, is the Center for Democracy & Technology’s (CDT) second-annual Giving Day ([link removed]), and I’m writing to invite you to be a part of our movement for human rights in the digital age.

Thanks to supporters like you, we’re advancing legislation, policies, and best practices to use AI for good while preventing harms that undermine your rights and our democracy. As AI increasingly shapes how people learn about the world and communicate, we’re collaborating with stakeholders to help protect our information environment. We’re pushing for the guardrails needed to stop AI-enabled mass surveillance and ensuring that when AI is integrated into public services it’s done so with privacy, safety, and people’s needs at the core.
