"Video Shows Suspected Gunman Kyle Rittenhouse Being Allowed To Leave Scene"
-- CBS Chicago, Aug. 26, 2020
Yesterday, the Milwaukee Bucks refused to play against the Orlando Magic as a way to protest the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, WI. Later that same day, the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers voted to abandon the season.
The NBA playoffs will resume, but our fight for justice for Jacob Blake, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and all Black lives is far from over.
Tuesday night, a graphic video of protestors in Kenosha shows armed vigilante Kyle Rittenhouse shooting three protestors -- killing two people.
A video from that night even shows an officer thanking the armed vigilantes saying, "We appreciate you guys, we really do." After Rittenhouse shot into the crowd, police officers present let him leave on foot and flee the state.
These are the same cops who saw an unarmed Black man as a threat, shooting Jacob Blake seven times in the back in front of his children. Rittenhouse is in police custody now, and he faces a first-degree intentional homicide charge.
But already, extremists are demanding President Trump give Rittenhouse a presidential pardon. This cannot happen.
A man who shot three people and killed two should not be allowed to walk among the people. Sign our petition now demanding Rittenhouse be convicted for his crimes.
