Team,

A new report highlights something we should all be proud of: Michigan is one of the best states in the country when it comes to youth voter turnout.

In 2024, we ranked third in the nation, with a 58% youth voter turnout rate. Nearly 5.7 million Michiganders cast a ballot (a statewide record), and young people were a huge part of why.

This didn't happen by accident. It happened because Michigan Democrats invested in building the infrastructure to make voting more accessible by expanding absentee voting, passing a pre-registration law that lets 16- and 17-year-olds sign up before they're eligible to vote, and supporting campus programs.

But here's the thing: none of those voting rights are permanent.

Republicans across the country are working overtime to roll back voting access, gut the Voting Rights Act, and make it harder for young people and communities of color to participate. If we lose the Governor's race, the State Legislature, or our open U.S. Senate seat this November, Michigan's progress on voting rights is on the line.

The grassroots energy that drove record turnout in 2024 needs to show up again in 2026. And that means we need to fund the organizing, outreach, and voter engagement work that makes it happen.

Team, will you chip in today to help Michigan Democrats protect our progress and help us turn out college voters across the state? Together, we can break voting records and win big in November.
