Illinois families just got another reminder of what Democratic control costs.
Gov. Pritzker signed a $55.9 billion budget, the largest in state history. Democrats are selling it as affordability because they included a temporary gas-tax pause and a short back-to-school sales tax holiday.
Cute.
They also pushed through hundreds of millions in new taxes and kept growing a government Illinois families are already struggling to afford.
That is the problem with Springfield Democrats: they break the budget, raise the cost of living, and then expect applause for handing taxpayers a tiny coupon.
Illinois Republicans are not buying it.
We are fighting for families who want real relief, honest budgeting, safer communities, and a state government that works for the people who pay the bills.
