John,
Last month, the Ms. Foundation for Women released Pocket Change: How Women and Girls of Color Do More With Less, a landmark report on philanthropic giving toward women and girls of color in the United States that showcases the drastic need to hold philanthropy accountable to communities, movements, and the changes they seek. We found that total philanthropic giving to women and girls of color is just $5.48 per year for each woman or girl of color in the United States.
Dive deeper into the report today with our Instagram Live series.
Each week, Ms. Foundation President and CEO Teresa C. Younger sits down with guests to discuss how women and girls of color are pivotal frontline leaders and organizations in social justice movements that pave the way for a more equitable and just democracy.
Today, join Teresa in talking to attorney, LGBTQ+ activist, and New York City Council candidate Seth Rosen. Tune in on the Ms. Foundation Instagram at 12pm PST / 3pm EST to find out why they are feminists, how they want to impact the world, and why that starts with funding women and girls of color.
It’s a conversation you won’t want to miss!
