Dear John, As we strive to advance racial justice, end homelessness, and advocate for a COVID-19 recovery that is equitable for all communities, NPH wanted to highlight the growth and continued success of our Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP) program with the announcement of our Year 3 cohort! Meet our incredible Year 3 BAHIP interns, read their bios, and learn how their experiences and observations of inequality and housing insecurity only fuel their determination to use their BAHIP internship to power a more equitable future in the industry. |
|
BAHIP is a one-year, paid internship program designed to launch college students from low-income communities and communities of color into careers in affordable housing development and project management — by training them in the hard and soft skills of housing leadership development at leading NPH member agencies. So far we’ve placed over half of our graduates in full-time permanent positions at leading housing agencies. |

We’d like to invite you to share your advice with our new cohort. Tweet your best advice with the hashtag #BAHIP — maybe it’s advice you received when you were first starting out, a word of wisdom from a mentor, or lessons you learned along the way. Let our graduates know that our community is excited to support their growth and leadership! | | |
