You may have heard me quote one of my mentors, the late Senator Paul Wellstone, who said “Politics is about the improvement of people’s lives.”
I truly believe that. That’s why, throughout my career, I’ve focused on getting results.
In the U.S. Senate, I was ranked number one for bipartisan bills and number three out of one hundred for getting bills passed into law -- from transportation projects across the state, to help for our farmers and rural areas, to lower prescription drug costs for our seniors.
Now, I’m running for governor of Minnesota to stand up for what’s right and fix what’s wrong.
I couldn’t be prouder of Minnesota. We have been the center of America's heartbreak, but we've also been the center of America's hope and courage. Through it all, the people of our state continue to show up with compassion and resolve.
I am running for governor for every Minnesotan who wants to buy their first home, for every parent who wants a better world for their kids and for everyone who wants more affordable healthcare. I'm running for every student, farmer, dreamer and builder.
These times call for leaders who can stand up and not be rubber stamps of this administration, but who are also willing to find common ground and fix things in our state. I’ve never shied away from taking on the powerful, and I will do my job without fear or favor.
But to accomplish everything we’re setting out to do, I need your support.
