On Monday, President Trump visited our state, reinforcing what we already knew: North Carolina is THE battleground state this fall.

Thom Tillis is relying on Trump’s support to boost his dismal approval ratings while sitting on the sidelines when it comes to issues important to North Carolinians, like COVID-19 relief or postal service slowdowns. It’s a shaky strategy, but unsurprising for a U.S. Senator who has spent the past six years following Mitch McConnell’s playbook to the letter.

With National Republicans closing out their convention tonight, my team is preparing for Tillis to get a boost — and millions more from corporate special interests to prop up his campaign in the final weeks of this election.
